A LINE OF ORIGINAL CLOTHING MADE FROM VINTAGE NATURAL FIBER FABRICS.

Under my design name "CALIFORNIA ORIGINALS BY KATHRYN" I create clothing using many types of vintage fabrics such as chenille, cotton floral and linen tablecloths, embroidered linens, vintage drapery, scarves and anything else vintage that come within my grasp.  I often mix these materials with recycled denim, cotton corduroy or other fabics that are natural fiber and pair well with the vintage pieces I am using.  I try to use vintage trims whenever I can, and have great fun selecting the perfect vintage buttons to go with the pieces.  Lately I have been painting vintage buttons to get the colors I want.

On this website I will be posting pictures of my designs for sale.  The pictures will represent styles and types of fabric I am using and I will describe each as best I can.  Since each piece is unique, the pictures are examples of the style and may not be the exact item that is available when you want to buy.  Or you may want a different size and colors.  My goal is to entice you with the pictures, and when you want to order, be able to send you a piece that you will love and will fit you.  I can also create a piece using your own "heirloom" linens.  Click the" HEIRLOOM" button to learn more about that.
